Our team
We are a team of passionate individuals who believe that society can change for the better by helping the vulnerable.
The Amu-Obo Foundation is a charitable organization founded by Felix Obonguta, Ph.D. and Justine Amulen, MSc. to give back to society. The foundation bases its roots from the Bible verses, 2 Corinthians 9:6-10 and Malachi 3:10, on giving cheerfully.
Core team members

Felix Obonguta
Co-founder/CEO
Felix holds a Ph.D. Eng. and MEng. from Kyoto University, Japan; and BSc. Civil Eng. from Makerere University, Uganda. He currently serves as an Assist. Prof. (S/A) at Osaka University, Japan. Felix is passionate about giving back to society and has planted hundreds of trees in Wera, Uganda and donated masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.Â

Justine Odu Amulen
Co-founder/Sec
Justine holds an MSc. Urban Planning and a BSc. Land Surveying, both from Makerere University, Uganda, and is currently a Researcher at the same university. She is dedicated to improving the lives of women and children, and has participated in public events and fora advocating for women and children’s rights.

Eric David Adongu
Core Member
Eric is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery at Makerere University, Uganda. He is passionately involved in student leadership and sports. Eric currently serves as the Sports Secretary for Makerere University Medical Students Association (MUMSA) and organizes health camps for early disease diagnosis and treatment.

Our Mission
Improve the lives of the less privileged in Teso, Uganda and the world
Our mission shall be achieved in a step-wise manner starting with disadvantaged families in Teso, a Ugandan region that was ravaged by war and disasters including floods. We shall expand our operations to other parts of Uganda and indeed the world.

Improve the lives of millions of people
Our entire team envisions helping at least 2,000,000 people around the world by 2060.
